How Much Do We Charge For Our Services?
It depends on how our business arrangement with the client is structured! We aim to produce a product valuable to the client and where appropriate, expect to share a modest percentage of the resulting monetary benefits realized by that client.
In this business, it's very difficult to estimate the value of creativity before it produces either a measurably useful product, or a product so well conceived that it is instantly recognizable as an almost sure bet, in terms of a waiting market opportunity which it seems certain to seize.
We may spend a great deal of time on product creation, either developing the concept or synthesizing the exact wording of the copy, the lyrics, or the script. Or both. Audio and Video products require even more detailed instructions for additional performance or presentation considerations (often requiring a demo).
Important: We presume everyone reading this material is basically familiar with, or knows why they need to be familiar with the legal and practical differences among the terms; COPYRIGHT, TRADE MARK, SERVICE MARK, AND PATENT.
On our own initiative, we sometimes create superb catch-phrases, lyrics etc, officially copyright them and then offer exclusive use of them to a single company of the type for whom our said products might have significant competitive value, until we find a customer for those products.
We will be happy to provide consultancy on final production and discuss additional services to expand the footprint of the initial product we created. This could be a wide range - everything from a full blown extended publicity campaign, to a single radio or TV commercial, advertising print copy, store signage, etc."
Example: If we get you started with a formula radio spot that works well for you, and you want to vary it with periodic or episodic changes in its storyline, be assured we will help you sustain it's usefulness with several generations of quality alternative plug-in copy at little additional cost to you. The same goes for alternative lyric sets plugging into a musical jingle series to sustain an extended successful run.
In Summary:
We first analyze a client's specific need and see if we can come up with a solution of exceptional value to that client. If the client likes what we have developed, we will then negotiate with the client, a licensing arrangement or the sale of certain, most, or all of the rights associated with the product!
